　　1. 解詞釋義

　　Pink slip的意思是“解雇通知書”，也叫做walking paper。這個習(xí)語要追朔到20世紀(jì)初期，表示在發(fā)給員工的周薪信封里放一張粉紅色的小紙條，通知員工被解雇的噩耗。放紅色字條一方面是為了避免你和其他資料混在一起，一面員工忽視而沒有看到，另一方面也許是因?yàn)榉奂t色相對比較柔和，可能會對被解雇的員工“受傷的心靈”產(chǎn)生一點(diǎn)慰藉作用。使用時表示解雇某人可以用動詞give，即為：give sb. the pink slop。
