第1單元 戒酒
If I didn't get help I may have lost my daughters forever. That was the reason I sought treatment. I first began drinking at parties, dinners and othersocial gatherings . Then I began drinking on my own at home and work.
如果我不求助，我將永遠失去我的女兒，這就是我尋求治療的原因。我一開始是在宴會、晚餐和社交聚會上喝酒，后來我開始在家中和工作場合喝酒。
I was fired from my job because I had lack of focus. I went on social assistance from the government .My daughters saw the worst of me and began not to trust me.
我因為注意力渙散，而被炒魷魚，之后便過著向政府領取社會補助的日子。我女兒看到我最糟的一面，變得不信任我。
They would come home from school unsure of what they would find. They didn't know if I would be drunk or sober, angry or happy.
她們從學?；丶?，不確定自己會看到什么景象，她們不知道我是酒醉還是清醒，生氣還是高興。
The day my little girl pulled away from me when I went to hug her was the day I realized I had to get help for my problem. I went to a center for alcoholics.Through the help of socialworkers, my children and I received living assistance and guidance.
有天當我想抱小女兒時，她卻掙脫，我才發(fā)現我需要求助，解決問題。我到一家戒酒中心，通過社工的協助，孩子和我獲得生活的協助和指引。
Now two years later, I am sober. If I ever feel like a drink, I just think of my girls and remember how good it feels to hug them again.
兩年后，我戒了酒。現在如果我想喝酒，我就會想到我的女兒，以及能夠再度擁抱她們是多棒的感覺。
