第13單元 重逢
I was adopted when I was only four weeks old. My biological mother were very poor and my father was sick with cancer. They made the decision to put me up for adoption. I grew up in a loving and happy home with two parents and a sister.
我才四周大時(shí)就被人認(rèn)養(yǎng),我的親生父母非常窮,而我父親得了癌癥,因此他們決定送我去給人認(rèn)養(yǎng)。我成長在一個(gè)充滿愛與快樂的家庭,有父母和一個(gè)姐姐。
When I was ten years old, my parents told me that I was adopted. It felt strange to hear that the people who raised me didn't give birth to me. When I turned sixteen, I asked my parents to help me find my birthparents. We registered our names with the proper agencies and the search began.
當(dāng)我十歲時(shí),我父母告訴我,我是養(yǎng)子。養(yǎng)我的人卻不是生我的人,這聽起來很奇怪。當(dāng)我十六歲時(shí),我拜托養(yǎng)父母幫我尋找親生父母,我們找了幾間征信社登記名字展開搜尋。
Unfortunately, the search wasn't sucessful, so I began to try and find them myself. Fianlly, last September, I was reunited with my mother. My father had died a long time ago but my mother showed me pictures and told me storied about him.
不幸的是,尋人并不成功,于是我開始自己尋找。終于,去年九月我與生母相認(rèn),我的生父很久以前就去世了,不過我的生母拿照片給我看,并告訴我有關(guān)他的故事。
My birthmother and I are friends now and I love visiting her when I can. I feel more complete having met her but no one can ever replace the family I grew up with.
我和生母至今仍是朋友,當(dāng)我有空時(shí),便會去拜訪她。見到她后,我感覺更加完整,不過還是沒有人能取代陪我長大的家人。
