　　He's itching for a chance to show you his ability.

　　他正躍躍欲試，想向你證明他的能力。

　　itch for a chance 直譯過(guò)來(lái)就是“渴望得到這個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)”的意思，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的真正意思是：“躍躍欲試”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"He's itching for a chance to show you hisability."時(shí)，他要表達(dá)的意思就是："He is going to have atry to show himself."、"He tries to porve his abilitiesto you."。
