　　Don't jump the gun.

　　不要草率行事。

　　jump the gun直譯過(guò)來(lái)就是：“發(fā)令槍未響就起跑”，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的正確意思是：“行動(dòng)過(guò)早，操之過(guò)急”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"Don't jump the gun."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Don't be in a hurry."、"Just take itslow."。
