out of this world是一個(gè)習(xí)慣用語(yǔ)，直譯過(guò)來(lái)就是：“在這個(gè)世界以外”，而它正確的意思是：“令人激動(dòng)，精彩極了，棒極了，絕妙的”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"Your suggestion is out of this world."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Your suggestion is wonderful."、"You provide us with a piece of marvelous advice."。
