你錯怪我了。

bark up the wrong tree 源于美國西部拓荒時期，拓荒者訓練狗將獵物叼回來，動物為了逃命往往會爬到樹上去。狗有時會一時糊涂，沒看清楚獵物上了哪顆樹，對著一棵沒有動物的樹亂叫。這個俚語比喻：“錯怪某人，攻擊錯了目標”。因此，當美國人說"You're barking up the wrong tree!"時，他/她要表達的意思就是:"You are accusing me wrongly!"、"You are waking up the wrong passenger!"。

情景對白：
Boss: If you readily admit your mistake, I'll consider giving you a light punishment.

老板：如果你立刻承認錯誤，我會考慮從輕處罰。
