No bones about it. 這個(gè)俚語至少可以追溯到1548年，一種猜測(cè)認(rèn)為跟古代骰子游戲有關(guān)，形容玩者擲骰子的時(shí)候不會(huì)玩“對(duì)天禱告”或“和骰子說話”之類的小把戲，而是直截了當(dāng)?shù)啬闷瘅蛔右粊G，這就是今天這個(gè)俚語意義的來源，即：“毫無疑問，實(shí)話實(shí)說，直截了當(dāng)”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"no bones about it."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"To be honest."、"Frankly speaking."。
