突破英語口語練習(xí)：“twist one's arm”難道是“扭傷胳膊”？

大家看到 “twist one's arm”第一反應(yīng)是不是“擰掉某人的手臂”？千萬不要理解錯(cuò)誤哦，
 
根據(jù)Free Dictionary的解釋，twist one's arms是指說服、強(qiáng)迫或者向某人施加壓力。
比如：
I didn't want see that movie about Mozart, but my roommate twisted my arm.
我本來不想去看那個(gè)有關(guān)莫扎特的電影的。可是，我室友硬逼著要我去。
 
My son has been twisting my arm to let him take my car out on a date ever since he got his driver's license.
自從我兒子拿到駕駛執(zhí)照以來，他一直鬧著要開我的車去約會。
