Former Vice President of FIFA, Jack Warner, has accused the United States of pursuing corruption charges against senior football officials because it failed to win the right to host the 2022 World Cup, writing in a newspaper he owns, Mr. Warner said the charges against him and 30 others show the U.S. was biased. The BBC has seen evidence that the British oil company Soco made payments to a soildier in the Democratic Republic of Congo who's accused of using violence to intimitate opponents of an oil exploration in the national park. The company strongly rejects any suggestion that payments were connected with the alleged abuse. Moore J reports.
