Cosmetic surgery has been existed for a long history. In 8th century, an Indian surgeon described what is known today as rhinoplasty( 鼻整形術(shù)) and otoplasty( 耳整形術(shù)).

整容手術(shù)在很早以前就已經(jīng)存在。8世紀(jì)時，一位印度的外科醫(yī)生記錄了當(dāng)今被稱為鼻整形術(shù)以及耳整形術(shù)的手術(shù)過程。

However, with the fast development of medical technology, the scope of cosmetic surgery has been raised to a far broader extent. What's more, anaesthesia (麻醉法) has made procedures less unpleasant and less dangerous.

而今，隨著醫(yī)療技術(shù)水平的高速發(fā)展，整容手術(shù)的范圍已逐漸被擴(kuò)大了。而且，麻醉的應(yīng)用也減少了手術(shù)過程中的痛苦感與危險(xiǎn)性。

It's important to distinguish the terms "plastic surgery" and "cosmetic surgery".Plastic Surgery is dedicated to the surgical repair of defects of form or function——this includes cosmetic surgery, as well as reconstructive surgery. The term "cosmetic surgery", however, refers to surgery that is designed to improve cosmetics alone.

區(qū)分“整形手術(shù)”與“整容手術(shù)”兩個詞語的不同是很有必要的。整形手術(shù)是對有缺陷的外形及功能的修復(fù)，這其中包括整容手術(shù)以及再造手術(shù)。而整容手術(shù)只是用于增進(jìn)美觀效果。

The most prevalent cosmetic procedures are listed below: abdominoplasty(腹部整形術(shù)), breast implants(豐胸術(shù)), blepharoplasty(眼險(xiǎn)整容術(shù)) ,buttock augmentation(豐臀術(shù)) and so on.

下面列舉了幾種當(dāng)下較流行的整容手術(shù):腹部整形術(shù)、豐胸術(shù)、眼險(xiǎn)整容術(shù)、豐臀術(shù)等等。
