小狐值勤

Fox liked being on traffic patrol.

小狐喜歡當(dāng)交通巡邏員。

His job was helping folks across the street.

他的工作就是幫助大家過(guò)馬路。

He did it very well. Every day Fox helped an old dog to cross.

他做得很好。每天小狐都會(huì)幫助一只老狗過(guò)馬路。

"Thank you, Fox," said the old dog. "I couldn't do it without you."

“謝謝你，小狐，”老狗說(shuō)，“沒(méi)有你我就沒(méi)法過(guò)馬路了。”

One day Fox's friends Dexter and Carmen stopped by his corner.

一天，小狐的朋友德克斯特和卡門經(jīng)過(guò)他值勤的街角。

"What a dumb way to spend your time," said Dexter.

“你過(guò)得也太無(wú)聊了點(diǎn)吧，” 德克斯特說(shuō)。

"We are going swimming at the beach," said Carmen.

“我們正準(zhǔn)備去海邊游泳，” 卡門說(shuō)。

"That sounds like fun," said Fox.

“聽(tīng)上去很好玩哎，” 小狐說(shuō)。

"Come with us," said Dexter.

“跟我們一起去吧，” 德克斯特說(shuō)。
