“請(qǐng)等到明晚吧，”雪球堅(jiān)持說(shuō)。

Mr. and Mrs. Little will be going out tomorrow night, and you won't be taking such a risk.

那時(shí)利特爾先生和太太會(huì)出去，你也不必這么冒險(xiǎn)了。

It's for your own good I'm suggesting this.

我猜那時(shí)才是你的好時(shí)候。

"Oh, all right," agreed the Angora.

哦，好吧，”安哥拉貓同意。

I guess I can wait.

我想我可以等。

But tell me where I'll find the bird, after I do get in.

告訴我在哪兒能找到那只鳥(niǎo)，在我進(jìn)去以后。

"That's simple," said Snowbell.

“很容易，”雪球說(shuō)。

Climb this vine, enter George's room through the open window,爬上這常春藤，從敞開(kāi)的窗子進(jìn)到喬治的臥室，then go downstairs and you'll find the bird asleep in the Boston fern on the bookcase.

再來(lái)到起居室，爬到書架上的波士頓羊齒植物那里就可以找到那只睡覺(jué)的小鳥(niǎo)。

"Easy enough," said the Angora, licking her chops.

“太容易了，”安哥拉貓說(shuō)著，舔了舔臉。

I'm obliged to you, sir.

我不勝感謝，先生。

"Well, the old thing!" whispered the pigeon to himself, and he flew away quickly to find a piece of writing paper and a pencil.

“噢，用老辦法!”那只鴿子自語(yǔ)著，很快地飛出去找紙和鉛筆去了。

Snowbell said goodnight to hisfriend and climbed up the vine and went in to bed.

雪球和他的朋友說(shuō)了晚安，便爬上常春藤，回去睡覺(jué)了。
