The owner of the hamburger stand was rathersurprised to see a man walk in with three iguanas,but when the man ordered four hamburgers withfries, the owner complied with a shrug.
有個(gè)人牽了三只大蜥蜴走進(jìn)一家漢堡店,老板嚇了一跳。接著他點(diǎn)了四份漢堡和薯?xiàng)l,老板聳聳肩答應(yīng)了他的要求.
The man and his iguanas enjoyed their dinner and left.
那個(gè)老兄和他的蜥蜴享受過(guò)晚餐后便離開(kāi)了。
The next day the man returned with two kangaroos and the same scene was repeated.
第二天,那個(gè)人帶了兩只袋鼠,又點(diǎn)了相同的東西。
On the third day the man entered with two orangutans and a chimpanzee, and the ownercouldn't help making a remark.
第三天,他帶了兩只紅毛猩猩和一只黑猩猩。
"You certainly seem to be an animal lover," he said.
老板實(shí)在忍不住,便說(shuō):“您實(shí)在是個(gè)愛(ài)護(hù)動(dòng)物的有心人。”
"That's true," said the man, "and I'd like you to know how much we appreciate your letting useat here. Some proprietors object. "
“那倒是真的,”那位仁兄回答說(shuō)道.‘‘另外我也要感謝你讓我們進(jìn)來(lái)吃晚餐,許多店老板都拒絕賣(mài)東西給我們。”
"That's quite alright," said the shopkeeper.
“沒(méi)有問(wèn)題啦!”店老板說(shuō)。
"As a token of my appreciation, I’d like to give you this lobster. " And the animal loverhanded over a live, wriggling crustacean
“為了向你表示謝意,我送你一只龍蝦。”說(shuō)著他便給老板一只活蹦亂跳的大龍蝦。
"Well, that's very kind of you. My wife and I will have it for dinner. "
“您真好,我太太和我將以它當(dāng)晚餐。”
"Oh, he's already had dinner. But I am sure he'd love to take in a movie. "
“喔,它已經(jīng)吃過(guò)晚餐了,但我想它會(huì)喜歡看場(chǎng)電影。”
