愛(ài)即生死相許

An ancient Hebrew text says, "Love is as strong as death." It seems that not everyone experiences this kind of strong love. The increase in poverty, crime and war tells us that the world is indesperate need of true love. but what is true love?

一篇古希伯來(lái)文這樣寫(xiě)道:“愛(ài)即生死相許。”由此看來(lái)，并非每個(gè)人都體驗(yàn)過(guò)如此深沉的愛(ài)。貧窮不斷擴(kuò)散，罪惡繼續(xù)蔓延和戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)頻繁發(fā)生，這一切都表明，世界急需真愛(ài)。但是，何謂真愛(ài)?

Love is something we all need but how do we know we've experienced it? True love is best asdevotion and action, not an emotion. Live is not exclusively based on how we feel. Certainly our emotions are involved, but they cannot be our only criteria for love. True love is when you care enough about another person that you would lay down your life for them. When this happens, then love true is "as strong as death".

人人都需要愛(ài)。但是，當(dāng)我們身處愛(ài)中，如何才能意識(shí)到它的存在呢?真愛(ài)應(yīng)當(dāng)是一種奉獻(xiàn)，一種實(shí)際行動(dòng)，而不是一種感覺(jué)上的激情。愛(ài)并不只建立在感知上，它也囊括了情感因素，但這些絕非是衡量愛(ài)的唯一標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。真愛(ài)來(lái)臨時(shí)，你可以為心愛(ài)的人舍棄生命，愛(ài)到如此深重，才稱(chēng)得上是“生死相許”啊。

How many of you have a mother or father, husband or wife, son or daughter or friend who wouldsacrifice his or her own life for yours? Those of you who true love your spouse and children would unselfishly lay your life on the line to save them from death. Many people, in emergency rooms with their loved ones have prayed, "please God, take me instead of them."

有多少人的父母、愛(ài)人、兒女或朋友愿意為心愛(ài)的人舍棄生命?只有那些真正深切關(guān)愛(ài)自己家人和孩子的人，才會(huì)甘愿牲牲自己。我們當(dāng)中又有多少人在愛(ài)人垂死的病榻前虔誠(chéng)祈禱:“上帝啊，用我的生命把他們的生命換回來(lái)吧!”

Find true love, and be a true lover as well. May you find the love which is not only stronger than death but which leads to a truly fulfilling life.

尋找真愛(ài)，做個(gè)真心愛(ài)人吧!愿你的愛(ài)不僅如死般強(qiáng)烈，也能引領(lǐng)你走上充滿真愛(ài)的人生!
