Yeah, so I think from growing up with dogs, like we always had dogs at home or my granddads house, so we were always playing with dogs, so I've never really had a fear of dogs like some people have, and I always considered myself a dog person, you know the way some, well most people consider themselves either a cat person or a dog person so that they either prefer cats or dogs, so I always thought of myself as a dog person, although recently in the last year or two, I'm kind of wondering about that because I've met some really nice cats,

though before I always thought of cats as being too, too independent really and almost haughty or snobby towards people cause they didn't really, they don't really seem to need people or need affection as much as dogs do and that's a really nice part about dogs I think is that you really feel an attachment to them and they're so happy when they see you and you can really tell as long as you treat them well obviously that they really love you and they'll look after you.

學(xué)習(xí)內(nèi)容:

fear

I've never really had a fear of dogs.

When you 'fear' something it means that you are frightened of it.

Notice the following:

I have a fear of spiders and snakes.

Some people say that you have to face your fears head on.

consider themselves

Most people consider themselves either a cat person or a dog person

When you 'consider yourself to be something' it means that you think that you are a certain way. It is how you think about yourself.

Notice the following:

I consider myself to be very hardworking.

Many celebrities consider themselves to be more special than the rest of us.

haughty

Cats are almost haughty or snobby towards people.

When someone is 'haughty' it means that they are full of self importance, unfriendly and snobby.

Notice the following:

Don't look at me in that haughty way.

I do not like my headmistress because she is always haughty.

affection

Cats don't really seem to need people or need affection as much as dogs.

'Affection' is devotion or love for someone or something. You can show affection by showing attention or touching.

Notice the following:

I like to show people how much I love them by giving them lots of affection.

She looked at me with affection.

attach

You really feel an attachment to them.

When you are 'attached' to something it means that you feel emotionally bonded with it and it is important to you.

Notice the following:

I am very attached to this necklace because my grandmother gave it to me.

I find that stray dogs attach themselves easily to new owners.
