還有一種有趣的娛樂節(jié)目。

The King holds a stick in front of him，and sometimes moves itup and down.One by one， people come up to him and jumpover the stick or crawl under it.They go on jumping andcrawling as the King moves the stick.The winner is the onewho jumps and crawls for the longest time，and he receives ablue ribbon to wear round his waist.The second best receivesa red ribbon，and the third best gets a green one.

國王手中拿著根棍子，有時上下移動。人們一個接一個地來到他面前，或者從棍子上跳過去，或者從棍子下爬過去。爬和跳的時間最長的人是勝利者，他將得到一根藍(lán)帶子系在腰間。次好的獲得一根紅帶子，第三名得到綠帶子。

Many of the Lilliput lords wear their ribbons proudly at all times.I had certainly never seenentertainment like this in any of the countries I had visited before.

利力浦特許多王公都自豪地系著他們的帶子。在以前到過的任何國家我肯定是從來沒有見到過這類表演。

Some days later a strange black thing was seen on the beach where I had first arrived inLilliput.When the people realized it was not alive，they decided that it must belong to the Man-Mountain，and the King ordered them to bring it to me.I thought I knew what it was.

一些日子之后，在我最初到達(dá)利力浦特的海岸上發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個奇怪的黑色東西。當(dāng)人們發(fā)覺那不是活物，他們斷定那是人山的，國王命他們給我送來。我想我知道那是什么。

When it arrived，it was rather dirty because it had been pulled along the ground by horses.But Iwas delighted to see that it was in fact my hat.I had lost it in the sea when swimming away fromthe ship.

由于是用馬匹在地面上拖著過來的，東西送到時已經(jīng)相當(dāng)臟了?？吹侥菍?shí)際上是我的帽子，我很高興。游離輪船時我把它掉在海里了。
