As I stepped out of the boat and walked up the beach，Inoticed that although the sun had been very hot，the airsuddenly seemed cooler.At first I thought a cloud was passingover the sun But when I looked up，I saw，to my greatastonishment，a large island in the sky，between me and thesun.

當(dāng)我跨出小船，走上海灘，我注意到盡管太陽(yáng)很熱，空氣卻突然變涼了。起初我還以為是云遮了太陽(yáng)，但是當(dāng)我一抬頭，令我極為驚訝的是，我看見(jiàn)天空中有一個(gè)大島在我和太陽(yáng)之間，

It was moving towards me，and there were people running around on it.I waved my arms andshouted as loudly as possible.Help!Help!I cried.Rescue me!

它正向我移來(lái)，上面有人在四處跑動(dòng)。我揮著手臂，盡可能大聲地喊。救命!救命!我叫道。救救我!

When the island was about a hundred metres over my head，they let down a seat on a chain.Isat on it，and was pulled up to the island.I had discovered the flying island of Laputa.Laputansare certainly strange-looking people.Their heads always turn either to right or left：one of theireyes turns inwards，the other upwards.Their main interests are music and mathematics.Theyspend so much time thinking abut mathematical problems that they do not notice what ishappening around them.

In fact，rich Laputans employ a servant whose job is to follow his master everywhere.

事實(shí)上，富有的勒皮他人請(qǐng)了個(gè)仆人，職責(zé)就是跟著主人到處走。

The servant warns him if he is going to step into a hole，and reminds him to reply if someonespeaks to him.

仆人警示他是否要踩進(jìn)坑里，如果有人跟他說(shuō)話則提醒他回答。

但是格列佛不愿滅掉不來(lái)夫斯古帝國(guó)，使皇帝很不高興。這時(shí)，皇后寢宮失火，格列佛情急生智，撒了一泡尿把火撲滅，誰(shuí)知卻讓皇后大為惱火。
