Didn't you hear about that?

你沒有聽說嗎？

Didn't you hear about that? They are going to divorce.

你沒有聽說嗎？他們要離婚了。

Didn't you hear about that? The meeting was canceled.

你沒有聽說嗎？會議取消了。

A: I've been waiting here in the conference room for ten minutes already. What time does our meeting start? Where is everyone anyway?

我在會議室已經(jīng)等了十分鐘，會議什么時候開始？其他人都在哪兒？

B: Didn't you hear about that? Our meeting was postponed until Friday.

你沒聽說嗎？會議推到周五了。

A: What? The meeting was postponed? No one told me anything about it.

什么？會議推遲了？沒人告訴我啊。

B: Didn't you get the memo?

你沒有看到備忘錄嗎？

A: What memo? There haven't been any memos this whole week. I check my in-box every day, and I haven't seen anything.

什么樣的備忘錄？整個這一周我也沒見過什么備忘錄，每天我都在查收文蘭，什么也沒看見。

B: The memo went out three days ago. It should have made it to your in-box, but maybe it got lost in all the clutter on your desk.

備忘錄是三天前發(fā)出去的，應(yīng)該放進你的收文欄了，但也可能夾在你辦公桌上那堆亂七八糟的東西里面。

A: You know how things get piled up on my desk when I am busy. I know that sometimes I do misplace things, but I always read all the memos that go around. They go directly to my in-box, are you sure it was sent to the whole office.

你也知道我忙的時候桌上東西會堆成山，我也清楚，有時候我我會把東西放錯地方，但所有發(fā)下來的備忘錄我都會看的，這些備忘錄都會直接放進我的收文籃，你肯定所有辦公室都發(fā)了嗎？

B: It should have gone around to everybody. They also posted a copy of the memo in the break-room. Don't you ever look at the messages posted on the bulletin board.

應(yīng)該發(fā)給所有的人了，他們還在休息室貼了一張備忘錄的復(fù)印件，你也沒看到公告欄上貼的信息嗎?

A: I'm usually too busy to take a bunch of coffee breaks and gossip by the water cooler. Anyway, I'm sure the memo never got to my in-box. I'll have to talk to our secretary about it.

我總是忙的顧不上喝咖啡休息一下，或者在水冷卻器旁跟人閑聊，不管怎樣，我肯定我的收文籃里沒有備忘錄，我要去找秘書談?wù)劇?
