A: I heard a rumor this morning. It seems Trusten Tools to is going out of business. Another competitor is going bankrupt. That could be good news for us.

早上我聽(tīng)到一個(gè)傳聞，好像是說(shuō)信托設(shè)備公司要倒閉了。又一個(gè)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手要破產(chǎn)了，這對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)可是好消息。

B: I think you must have heard wrong. The truth is we are going to be taken over by Trusten. We're being bought out, and our company will be merging with our largest competitor. It's not good news at all.

我想你一定聽(tīng)錯(cuò)啦，事實(shí)是我們要被信托公司接管了，我們的所有權(quán)被買下了，我們公司就要和我們最大的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手合并了，這根本不是什么好消息。

A: What? We're merging with Trusten? I never thought that would happen. Will we be getting new owners? Will it affect our jobs?

什么？我們要和信托公司合并？我從來(lái)沒(méi)有想過(guò)這樣的事情會(huì)發(fā)生，我們要有新老板了？這對(duì)我們的工作有影響嗎？

B: Probably. The new owners will be coming to start alignment meetings next week.

可能會(huì)有影響，新老板下周來(lái)進(jìn)行合作會(huì)談。

A: Wow, with such a big change. We won't even have the same name.

B: It's not only the name of our company that will change. I expect that after this acquisition, there'll be a ton of things up in the air.

不但是我們公司名字要改，我預(yù)計(jì)收購(gòu)之后還會(huì)有一大堆的問(wèn)題懸而未決。
