According to an interview published on Southern People Weekly magazine, singer Ling Hua of Phoenix Legend, one of the most popular duos in Chinese mainland, commented after watching Taiwan band Mayday's concert as saying "sing like dog s**t". Ling Hua immediately received waves of complaints and criticism from fans of Mayday after the story was published.

On May 28th, Ling Hua wrote a long article on her Sina microblog which magically turned enemy into friends and battle into laugh.
