President-elect Trump campaigned very strongly against President Obama`s policies. And the last time he took questions from reporters overseas, Mr. Obama expressed confidence that American voters would reject Mr. Trump as president. But that was before the election, in September, on a trip to Asia. And now, as he navigates through Europe and South America, the president is working to reassure other countries about America`s future.

特朗普曾強烈反對奧巴馬的政策。在最后一次接受海外記者的提問時，奧巴馬表示，相信美國選民不會選擇特朗普擔任總統(tǒng)。當時是9月份，總統(tǒng)競選前期，奧巴馬正在對亞洲進行訪問。奧巴馬訪問歐洲和南美各國的目的是，安撫美國大選之后，對美國未來心存擔憂的各個國家。

I still don`t feel responsible for what the president-elect says or does, but I do feel a responsibility as president of the United States to make sure that I facilitate a good transition and I present to him as well as the American people my best thinking, my best ideas about how you move the country forward.
