鉛筆的寓言
The Pencil Maker took the pencil aside, just before putting him into the box.
鉛筆制造商在把鉛筆放進(jìn)盒子之前,把他放在了一邊。
“There are 5 things you need to know,” he told the pencil, “before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.”
“在我把你送到這個(gè)世界上之前,有5件事你必須知道,”他對鉛筆說。永遠(yuǎn)記住它們,永遠(yuǎn)不要忘記,你將成為你能成為的最好的鉛筆。”
One: “You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in someone’s hand.” Two: “You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you’ll need it to become a better pencil.”
第一句:“你可以做很多偉大的事情,但前提是你允許自己被別人握在手里。”第二:“你會(huì)經(jīng)歷一次又一次痛苦的削尖,但你需要通過它來成為一支更好的鉛筆。”
Three: “You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.”
第三:“你將能夠糾正你可能犯的任何錯(cuò)誤。”
Four: “The most important part of you will always be what's inside.”
第四:“你最重要的部分永遠(yuǎn)是你的內(nèi)心。”
Five: “On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.”
“在你使用的每一個(gè)表面上,你都必須留下你的印記。無論什么情況,你都必須繼續(xù)寫下去。”
The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.
鉛筆明白了,答應(yīng)會(huì)記住這些,并帶著目標(biāo)走進(jìn)了盒子。
Now replacing the pencil with you, if you remember these lessons and never forget them, you will become the best person you can be.
現(xiàn)在用鉛筆代替你,如果你記住這些訓(xùn)導(dǎo),永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)忘記,你會(huì)成為你能成為的最好的人。
One: “You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God’s hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.”
第一:“你將能做許多偉大的事情,但只有當(dāng)你允許自己在上帝的手中。并允許其他人利用你所擁有的天賦來接近你。”
Two: “You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you’ll need it to become a stronger and better person.”
第二:“通過經(jīng)歷生活中的各種問題,你會(huì)不時(shí)地經(jīng)歷痛苦的磨礪,但你需要它來成為一個(gè)更強(qiáng)大、更好的人。”
Three: “You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make. So do not be afraid of making mistakes.”
第三:“你將能夠糾正你可能犯的任何錯(cuò)誤。所以不要害怕犯錯(cuò)。”
Four: “The most important part of you will always be what’s on the inside. What you think and feel is more important than how you look.”
第四:“你最重要的部分永遠(yuǎn)是你的內(nèi)心。你的想法和感受比你的外表更重要。”
Five: “On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark. No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties. Leave your legacy when you leave this world.”
“在你走過的每一個(gè)表面上,你都必須留下你的印記。無論在什么情況下,你都必須繼續(xù)履行你的職責(zé)。當(dāng)你離開這個(gè)世界時(shí),留下你的遺產(chǎn)。”
You are special. Only you can fulfill the purpose for which you were born.
你是特別的。只有你才能實(shí)現(xiàn)你出生的目的。
