喬爾：嗨，米歇爾。

Michele: Hi.

米歇爾：嗨。

Joel: You don't look very happy. What happened?

喬爾：你看起來(lái)不太高興。發(fā)生什么事了?

Michele: Oh, well, I'm a little bit frustrated.

米歇爾：哦，我有些沮喪?

Joel: Why?

喬爾：為什么?

Michele: Well, I went to the bank today and I couldn't communicate well because my Japanese wasn't good enough and the bank teller didn't speak English.

米歇爾：我今天去銀行了，可是我的日語(yǔ)不太好，銀行職員又不會(huì)說(shuō)英語(yǔ)，所以我們的溝通不好。

Joel: What were you trying to do?

喬爾：你去銀行做什么?

Michele: Well, I've ordered a ticket to go to Australia and I have to send the money to the travel agency and they only accept one form of payment. They want me to send a bank transfer.

米歇爾：我訂了張飛澳大利亞的機(jī)票，我要把錢匯給旅行社，那家旅行社只接受一種付款方式。他們讓我通過(guò)銀行轉(zhuǎn)賬。

Joel: OK.

喬爾：好。

Michele: So, I have a post office account and I can't do it through the post office, so I went to the bank and I started to explain that I want to send.... do a bank transfer.

米歇爾：我有郵局賬戶，可是不能通過(guò)郵局匯款，所以我去了銀行，試圖和銀行職員說(shuō)明我要轉(zhuǎn)賬。

Joel: Right.

喬爾：嗯。

Michele: And because I'm a foreigner, I think she thought I wanted to send money abroad and she was saying, "Oh, I'm sorry, you can't do that here" but I had to explain, "No, no. I just want to send it within Japan," but I don't know, because I don't have an account at that bank there was some sort of problem and she wanted me to fill out a form and I didn't really understand it.

米歇爾：因?yàn)槲沂峭鈬?guó)人，我想她可能認(rèn)為我要往外國(guó)匯款，所以她說(shuō)：“抱歉，在這里你不能這么做”，然后我解釋說(shuō)，“不是，我只是想在日本境內(nèi)轉(zhuǎn)賬”，可能因?yàn)槲覜]有在那家銀行開設(shè)賬戶，所以有一些問(wèn)題，她想讓我先填表，可是我看不懂那張表。

Joel: Right, and then the form is in Japanese.

喬爾：好，那張表上是日語(yǔ)。

Michele: Yes, so now I have the form. I guess I'll have to go find a friend to help me with...

米歇爾：對(duì)，我把那張表拿回來(lái)了。我想我要去找個(gè)朋友幫我……

Joel: You never solved the problem.

喬爾：你沒有解決問(wèn)題。

Michele: No, no. I just took the form and said, "OK, I'll take it and come back."

米歇爾：不是。我拿了表以后，跟她說(shuō)：“表我拿走了，我很快回來(lái)。”

Joel: How long were you there?

喬爾：你在銀行待了多長(zhǎng)時(shí)間?

Michele: Not too long, maybe five or ten minutes. There weren't many people in the bank but I still felt like, oh I'm taking up too much time here or something.

米歇爾：時(shí)間并不長(zhǎng)，可能也就五到十分鐘。當(dāng)時(shí)銀行里人不多，不過(guò)我還是覺得我占用了太多時(shí)間。

Joel: So, you just gave up and...

喬爾：所以你就放棄了……

Michele: Yes.

米歇爾：對(duì)。

Joel: Well, I'll have to take you over to my landlord here. This Japanese woman is really nice and she'll... I'm sure she'll help you fill out the form.

喬爾：我?guī)闳フ椅业姆繓|吧。我的房東是名日本女性，她人非常好，我確定她會(huì)幫你填表。

Michele: Oh, really.

米歇爾：哦，真的嗎?

Joel: And take care of you. Yeah.

喬爾：她會(huì)幫你處理。對(duì)。

Michele: Oh, that's great.

米歇爾：哦，那真是太好了。
