① used to do sth.表示“過去常常做某事”，指過去的經常性的、習慣性的行為或狀態(tài)，而現(xiàn)在已不復存在，只表示過去，不可指現(xiàn)在或將來；否定式為didn't use to do sth.，也可用usedn't to do sth. 或usen't to do sth.，讀作［'ju?snt］；一般疑問句，可以把used放在句首，或用助動詞did；反意疑問句的附加問句用did或used。有些用法參見上文。

② be used to sth.表示“習慣于某事”，be used to doing sth.表示“習慣于做某事”，這里的be是連系動詞，可用不同的形式，表示過去、現(xiàn)在或將來，used是形容詞，to是介詞，后面跟名詞、代詞或動名詞，但不可跟動詞原形。

He is used to hard work. 他習慣于艱苦的生活。

She has been used to the weather here. 她已習慣這里的天氣了。

You will be used to the city life. 你會習慣城市生活的。

He is not used to getting up early. 他不習慣早起。

I am used to walking to the office. 我習慣步行去辦公室。

be used to sth./doing sth.中的be可以換用get，become，grow等連系動詞，表示一個慢慢習慣的過程。

③ be used to do sth.意為“被用來做某事”，be used是被動語態(tài)，to do sth. 是不定式，作目的狀語。
