[00:08.28]On College Students' Indulging Themselves in Playing Online Games
[00:14.06]Nowadays, in spite of objections from the public,
[00:19.82]many college students still indulge themselves in playing online games.
[00:25.23]Too many online games,
[00:27.55]in my opinion,
[00:28.79]are harmful to students in many aspects.
[00:32.09]First, online games endanger these students' health.
[00:37.38]Sitting in front of the computer
[00:39.56]and staring at the screen for hours on end
[00:42.85]do harm to students' eyesight as well as their mental condition.
[00:47.21]Second, these games distract students' attention from their study,
[00:53.06]which may lead to neglecting their study
[00:56.17]and then affect their future.
[00:58.16]Third, online games are likely to deteriorate students' moral values.
[01:04.81]Since many online games are about violence,
[01:08.73]students may unconsciously accept
[01:11.22]the false principles and values in the games
[01:14.27]and believe that violence is a good way to settle disagreements.
[01:18.69]As college students,
[01:21.05]we should be fully aware of the harmfulness of online games.
[01:25.28]And instead of wasting time on these games,
[01:28.58]we should make full use of our
[01:30.95]valuable college years to learn as much as we can.
