詞組講解

1. have something up one's sleeve *達成秘密計劃(或解決方案)

解 俚語;詞義溯源:有東西[在袖子里(up one's sleeve)]

例 You have to understand their culture here. What they did was not unethical in any way to them. You're accusing them of having something up their sleeve—and they did, but in their country that is normal and even expected.

2. have sth. hanging over one's head **受到災難(或危險)的威脅;擔心
