詞組講解

1. make a run for it ** 趕緊跑開,急忙躲避

解 〈口〉習(xí)語;詞義溯源:[向著(for)][它(it)]做出[逃跑、跑(run)];參照make a break for sth.

例 Sheriff Bolton released a statement today in which he blamed himself for the escape of two prison inmates from the courthouse yesterday. “I knew the two of them were likely to try to make a run for it. I should have taken better precautions. This is entirely my own fault,” said the sheriff's statement.

2. make 〔create〕 a scene ** 引起騷動(dòng),大吵大鬧
