托福詞匯之“人工消雨”

　　Zhang Qiang, deputy director of the Beijing Weather Modification Office, told China Daily that "artificial rain reduction" measures were in place for the National Day celebration, during which President Hu Jintao will give a speech and the military will parade past the Tian'anmen Square.

　　北京市人工影響天氣辦公室主任張強(qiáng)在接受《中國(guó)日?qǐng)?bào)》記者采訪時(shí)稱，已做好準(zhǔn)備在國(guó)慶慶典期間采取“人工消雨”。在慶典中，中國(guó)國(guó)家主席胡錦濤將致詞，軍隊(duì)將在天安門(mén)廣場(chǎng)舉行閱兵儀式。

　　在上面的報(bào)道中，artificial rain reduction 就是指“人工消雨”，是指向云層發(fā)射rain dispersal rockets(火箭彈驅(qū)云)，來(lái)驅(qū)散 rain belt (雨帶)。Artificial rain reduction 有兩種實(shí)現(xiàn)途徑，一種是讓雨提前下，一種是讓雨“憋著不下”，但其原理與 artificial rainfall/precipitation(人工降雨)類似。

　　Artificial rainfall 也是通過(guò)類似途徑來(lái)實(shí)現(xiàn) cloud seeding (云的催化)，它們同屬于 artificial weather modification (人工影響天氣)的范疇。國(guó)慶慶典當(dāng)日，北京將有30 percent chance of rainfall (30%的降水概率)。
