The Expo provides a very good platform to promote Malawi's development in trade, investment and tourism and boost exchange and cooperation between businessmen of Malawi and China, said Anna Kachikho, Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Culture of Malawi, at this morning's ceremony at the Expo Center.
Jiang Zhengyun, China's deputy commissioner general for World Expo 2010, said the Malawi Pavilion themed "A Smart Choice for a Better Life" showcases the country's experience and solutions in urban regeneration, cultural preservation, economic transformations, urban-rural relations and environmental protection.
When visitors enter the pavilion, they are surrounded by video and pictures of famous scenery, including Lake Malawi, one of the Great Lakes of Africa, with golden beaches and stunning scenery.

The exhibition features four cities, Lilongwe, Blantyre, Zomba and Mzuzu, and demonstrates improvement in the urban environment and preservation of traditional heritage.
