日本呼吁恢復(fù)遠(yuǎn)程辦公

Japan's economy minister on Monday urged more telecommuting to contain the spread of the coronavirus as a surge in cases during the past week has sparked worries over a growing burden on the nation's healthcare system.

日本負(fù)責(zé)新冠疫情應(yīng)對(duì)的官員、經(jīng)濟(jì)再生大臣西村康稔7月27日呼吁更多人遠(yuǎn)程辦公，以控制新冠病毒的傳播。過去一周日本新增病例大幅增加，引發(fā)對(duì)醫(yī)療系統(tǒng)不堪重負(fù)的擔(dān)憂。

In a video meeting with local governors, Yasutoshi Nishimura, who is also in charge of coronavirus response, called on business leaders to enhance anti-virus measures, such as encouraging the level of telecommuting achieved during Japan's state of emergency earlier this year.

西村康稔當(dāng)日在與日本各地知事的視頻會(huì)議上呼吁商界領(lǐng)袖加強(qiáng)防疫措施，例如恢復(fù)今年早些時(shí)候緊急狀態(tài)期間實(shí)現(xiàn)的員工遠(yuǎn)程辦公比例。

"At one point, commuter numbers were down by 70 to 80%, but now it's only about 30%," Nishimura said. "We really don't want to backtrack on this, so we have to explore new ways of working and raise the proportion of teleworking."

西村康稔說：“員工的遠(yuǎn)程辦公比例曾經(jīng)一度達(dá)到70%至80%，但現(xiàn)在只有約30%。我們不想開倒車，就要尋找新的工作方式，提高員工遠(yuǎn)程辦公比例。”

On Monday, 131 new cases were reported in Tokyo, along with rising numbers in other urban areas.

7月27日，東京報(bào)告131例新增病例，其它城市的病例數(shù)也在增加。
