A: It's ages since I saw you last!
B: It really is. How's your business?
A: It's OK. You might as well drop by my office for a while.
B: Actually, I have no time right now. I've got to fly to New York.

A: 好久不見了！
B: 的確是。生意做得怎樣？
A: 還好。你最好來我公司一下。
B: 事實(shí)上，我現(xiàn)在沒有時(shí)間。我必須飛往紐約。

重點(diǎn)解說：

★ It's been ages since I saw you last!「好久不見了！」這句話是雙方有好長(zhǎng)一段時(shí)間不曾碰面時(shí)的問候語。除了上文的說法外，還有"It's been a long time." "Long time no see!"等說法。

★ You might as well ~ 是比You had better ~ 更委婉更有禮貌的說法。

★ drop by意指「非正式的拜訪」

★ for a while「一會(huì)兒」類似用法如： once in a while「有時(shí)，偶爾」

★ actually「事實(shí)上(=in fact, as a matter of fact)」

★I have no time.是「我沒有時(shí)間」或「我沒空」的意思。Do you have time?意指「你有空嗎？」但如添加the一詞說成"Do you have the time?"意思與"What time is it now?"相同，即指「現(xiàn)在幾點(diǎn)？」請(qǐng)?zhí)貏e注意。
