A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?”

一個(gè)男孩問(wèn)他的媽媽?zhuān)骸澳銥槭裁匆弈?？?

“Because I’m a woman,” she told him.

媽媽說(shuō)：“因?yàn)槲沂桥税??！?

“I don’t understand,” he said.

男孩說(shuō)：“我不懂?！?

His mum just hugged him and said, “And you never will.”

他媽媽抱起他說(shuō)：“你永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)懂的?！?

Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?”

后來(lái)，小男孩就問(wèn)他爸爸：“媽媽為什么無(wú)緣無(wú)故地哭呢？”

“All women cry for no reason,” was all his dad could say.

他爸爸只能說(shuō)：“所有的女人都會(huì)這樣?！?

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

小男孩長(zhǎng)成了一個(gè)男人，但他仍舊不懂女人為什么哭泣。

Finally he put in a call to God; and when God got on the phone, he asked, “God, why do women cry so easily?”

最后，他打電話(huà)給上帝；在上帝拿起電話(huà)時(shí)，他問(wèn)道：“上帝，女人為什么那么容易哭泣？”

God said, “When I made the woman, she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world; yet, gentle enough to give comfort.”

上帝回答說(shuō)：“當(dāng)我創(chuàng)造女人時(shí)，就讓她很特別。我使她的肩膀堅(jiān)強(qiáng)得能挑起整個(gè)世界；然而，卻又柔情似水，能撫慰他人?！?

“I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection[9] that many times comes from her children.”

“我讓她的內(nèi)心堅(jiān)強(qiáng)，能夠承受分娩的痛苦，忍受來(lái)自孩子的一次次拒絕?！?

“I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue[10] without complaining.” “我賦予她堅(jiān)韌，使她能在別人放棄的時(shí)候繼續(xù)堅(jiān)持著，并且無(wú)怨無(wú)悔地照顧自己的家人渡過(guò)疾病與疲勞?！?

“I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.” “我賦予她在任何情況下都會(huì)愛(ài)孩子的情感，即使她的孩子深深地傷害了她?！?

“I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.” “我賦予她包容她丈夫過(guò)錯(cuò)的堅(jiān)強(qiáng)，并用他的肋骨塑成她來(lái)保護(hù)他的心。”

“I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly[11] .”
