徐燦，字湘蘋，又字明霞、明深，江蘇吳縣（今蘇州市吳中區(qū)、相城區(qū)）人。陳之遴繼配。幼穎悟，通書史。陳之遴兩次流徙，均曾隨行?？滴跏辏?671），奉旨歸之遴之骨。晚年學(xué)佛，更號紫?。早年雅好吟詠，尤喜為詞。被詞人陳維崧譽為南宋后閨秀第一。有《拙政園詩馀》《拙政園詩集》。

暖淺寒輕夜氣和，

踏春紅袂試纖羅。

月似美人慵欲睡，

暈橫波。

懶逐香塵看火樹，

自箋新調(diào)當(dāng)笙歌。

半側(cè)流霞三兩爵，

不須多。

Xu Can

The warmth is faint, the chill light, the night air mild;

Picking a red dress for my spring jaunt, I try on sheer gauze.

The moon is like a languid beauty about to sleep,

Its halo diffusing waves.

Too idle to follow the fragrant dust or watch the splendid lights,

I write new verses in place of pipes and songs.

Half-leaning toward the flowing clouds, two or three cups

No need for more.
