瑪麗·F·羅賓孫（A. Mary F. Robinson，1857-1944），英國(guó)女詩(shī)人。1878年，她出版了第一本詩(shī)集《一束金銀花》，作品靈秀、纖弱，略帶憂(yōu)郁，很快引起文學(xué)界注意。1888年她與法國(guó)學(xué)者波斯語(yǔ)專(zhuān)家詹姆士·達(dá)莫斯泰特結(jié)婚，他們感情篤深，并互譯對(duì)方作品，促進(jìn)了英國(guó)與歐洲大陸文學(xué)的交流。羅賓孫的詩(shī)歌風(fēng)格多樣，曾用民謠體創(chuàng)作，語(yǔ)言簡(jiǎn)潔質(zhì)樸，感情真摯，兼有沉思和抒情的格調(diào)。另有詩(shī)作流露出神秘及撲朔迷離的氣質(zhì)。主要作品有《歌、民謠及一出花園戲劇》（1889）、《追憶與其他詩(shī)歌》（1893）。

你在荒漠里流浪，渴得難受，

You wandered in the desert waste, athirst;

我把我靈魂當(dāng)作井贈(zèng)給你解渴；

My soul I gave you as a well to drink;

你在井欄邊留戀徘徊了片刻，

A little while you lingered at the brink,

你走了，沒(méi)受到祝福也沒(méi)被詛咒。

And then you went, nor either blessed or cursed .

你的面孔的影子，那天曾沉入

The image of your face, which sank that day

那口水井的具有魔力的井水中，

Into the magic waters of the well,

至今還光顧那一泓清澈，始終

Still haunts their clearness, still remains to tell

Of one who looked and drank and could not stay.

The sun shines down, the moon slants over it,

Shines through the deep, till all the waves are lit.

My soul I gave you as a well to drink,

And in its depths your face is clearer far

遠(yuǎn)勝太陽(yáng)、月亮或星星的閃熠——

Than any shine of sun or moon or star—
