基本概況 General Information

對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)坐落于首都北京朝陽區(qū)，創(chuàng)建于1951年，前身是北京外貿(mào)學(xué)院。1960年以其專業(yè)特色被國家列為重點(diǎn)大學(xué)。1997年五月成為首批被列人國家高等 教育“211工程”重點(diǎn)建設(shè)的高校，2000年轉(zhuǎn)為教育部直 屬，同年6月，原中國金融學(xué)院與原對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué) 合并成立新的對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)，成為經(jīng)貿(mào)類領(lǐng)先高校之一。

The University of International Business and Economics(UIBE)，situated in Chaoyang District of China's capital Beijing，was founded in 1951 as the Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade. In 1960 it was designated as a“key university" by the government for ifs outstanding programs. In May 1997 UIBE was put on the list of“Project 211”universities. In 2000，UIBE had become one of the state universities under the leadership of the Ministry of Education，and in same year it merged with China Institute of Finance and has since then June of the become one of the leaders in the studies of business and finance.

對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)設(shè)有14個(gè)學(xué)院和2個(gè)直屬系，設(shè)有研究生部和體育部，共有25個(gè)本科專業(yè)、14個(gè)博士點(diǎn)、39個(gè)碩士點(diǎn)、兩個(gè)博士后流動(dòng)站兩個(gè)國家級重點(diǎn)學(xué)科和一個(gè)國家級人文社科研究基地。在30多個(gè)學(xué)位授予權(quán)里，國際貿(mào)易、國際經(jīng)濟(jì)法、英語語言、國際商業(yè)管理等四個(gè)均為國家“211工程”列為的重點(diǎn)學(xué)科。

UIBE consists of over 14 academic schools，2 direct departments apart from postgraduate department and physical education department. It has 25 undergraduate programs，14 doctoral programs，39 master programs，2 post doctorate stations，2 state key disciplines and 1 state research base of social sciences. Among the over 30 bachelor，master and doctoral programs that UIBE offers，International Trade，International Economic Law，English Language and International Business Management have been designated as key programs under“Project 211”

對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)現(xiàn)有各類學(xué)生一萬余人，其中在校普通全日制本科生6300余人，研究生3100余人，外國來華留學(xué)學(xué)歷生800余人。對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)現(xiàn)有教職工1500多人，其中專任教師700多人，學(xué)校每年還聘請一定數(shù)量的外國專家前來授課或講學(xué)。

At present，UIBE has a total enrollment of more than 10000 students，including 6300 fulltime undergraduates，3 100 doctorate candidates and master candidates and over 800 overseas students for their degrees.UIBE has 1500 teaching and administrative staff members，and more than 700 of them are fulltime teachers. In addition，the university invites dozens of foreign academic professionals to teach or lecture every year.

對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)于1989年1月在國內(nèi)率先成立了由原對外貿(mào)易經(jīng)濟(jì)合作部、中國銀行、中國人民保險(xiǎn)公司、香港中華總商會(huì)等成員組成的校董會(huì)。國務(wù)院前副總理李嵐清任首屆校董會(huì)主席，現(xiàn)任校董會(huì)主席是中共中央政治局委員、國務(wù)院副總理吳儀同志。

In December 1989，UIBE became the first university in China that had a Board of Trustees composed of members from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation，Bank of ChinaPeople's Insurance Company of China，Hong Kong Chamber of Commerceetc. i.i Lanqing，the former Vice-Premier of the State Council，took the chair for its first session，and Wu Yi，Vice-Premier of the State Council.chaired the Board for its second session

歷史變遷 Glorious History

1951年對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)的前身北京外貿(mào)學(xué)院創(chuàng)建，為原對外貿(mào)易經(jīng)濟(jì)合作部屬。

1951 Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade the predecessor of the University of International Business and Economics was founded under the administration of the precedessor Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

2000年原中國金融學(xué)院與原對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)合并成立新的對外經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易大學(xué)，轉(zhuǎn)為教育部直屬。

2000 The former Financial Institute of China and University of International Business and Economics merged to form the new the University of International Business and Economics under the administration of the Ministry of Education.
