孫大圣是中國古典文學名著《西游記》(Journey to the West)中 的一個主要的人物。他是唐僧(Tang Monk)第一個徒弟。其實在中國， 他最受歡迎的名字不是“孫大圣”，而是“孫悟空”，這是教他72變 的第一個師傅給他起的名字。“悟”的意思是“啟迪”。“空”的意 思是“無”，這是佛學(Buddhism)中最重要的一個認識。在佛學中， 人必須放棄欲望和所有對財富、名聲的渴望，以培養(yǎng)自己為佛。
