WikiHow is an incredibly useful resource, an online database of how-to instructions that aims to enable everyone in the world to learn how to do anything they want to do. With over 190,000 articles uploaded so far, there are some pretty niche scenarios available, such as: “How to Make People Think You’re Immortal,” and “How to Apologize to a Cat.”
As well as the in-depth, step-by-step instructions on how to carry out your desired task, the site also provides some seriously entertaining illustrations to accompany them. The illustrations have picked up somewhat of a cult following for the expressive and often ridiculous portrayals; so much so that there is a subreddit devoted to them: r/disneyvacation.
Don't ask me how the name came about, but what they promise is “weird, terrible, terrifying illustrations from WikiHow - captioned for your amusement,” and boy, do they deliver. A random, out-of-context illustration is uploaded alongside an often darkly humorous caption which sets the scene. The result can be anything from political satire to sexual innuendo, torture, racial tropes and just absurdity of the highest order... the kind of thing that you'll feel a little guilty for chuckling at. But laugh you will, whether you like it or not!
