　　【解詞釋義】flat在該短語中意思為“全然的，徹底的，十足的”。此語出自莎士比亞的《亨利四世》上篇第二場。其中寫道：...no eye hath seen such scarecrows. I’ll not march through Coventry with them,that’s flat...(譯文：誰也沒見過這么瘦的這么可憐的人，我不愿意帶著他們列隊經(jīng)過芬特里，無需多言)。因此，此語的意思是：絕對如此，無需多言。
