The smell of the goats was enough to make Wendy sick. But goats with gas...that was just disgusting. Wasn't there a shuttle bus or something a little less stinky to make them up the mountain?
Wendy and Jody were in Nepal. They woke up at 3.am. to see the sunrise. Travel magazines and brochures that the girls read claimed the sunrise was one of the most beautiful attractions in that part of the county.
So, not wanting to miss out, the girls set out with the rest of the tourists. Unfortunately, goats were the only safe means of transportation up the steep and narrow cliff. Wendy plugged her nose and hoped the view would be worth it. The group arrived at the top minutes before the sunrise. Everyone watched eagerly. From where they stood, they could see for miles and miles.
As the sun came up, brilliant hues of red, pink, and orange filled the sky. Wendy and Jody gasped. It was stunning. For a moment everything was still and the world seemed a perfect place to be.
