第15單元 蝙蝠的攻擊
Dr. Moron and his team of researchers study the sleeping pattern of bats. They believed that bats have dreams just like people.
莫朗博士和他的研究生團隊要研究蝙蝠的睡眠模式。他們認為蝙蝠和人類一樣會做夢。
Today he is putting his theories to test in a wet, dark cave filled with hundreds of sleeping bats. It is a dangerous job. If he wakes the bats they might attack him.
今天他要在一個又濕又暗、里頭滿是睡著蝙蝠的洞穴里，對他的理論進行試驗。這項工作很危險，一旦驚醒蝙蝠，蝙蝠可能會對他進行攻擊。
Dr. Moron shines his flashlight into the cave. He is careful not to point it into their eyes. He hunches over and walks in. There is a strange noise coming from the cave- a hissing sound. Dr. Moron shudders. He is scared, but he moves forward.
莫朗博士用手電筒照著洞穴，小心翼翼地不讓手電筒照到蝙蝠的眼睛;接著弓著背走了進去。洞穴里傳來一陣奇怪的嘶嘶聲，莫朗博士發(fā)起抖來，覺得有點害怕，不過她還是往前繼續(xù)走。
The cave is surprisingly warm and smells like cat fur. Dr. Moron makes a note in his book. While he is writing, his flashlight falls to the ground and goes out. It makes a loud noise as it hits the rocks below.
這個洞穴出人意料地溫暖，而且聞起來有股貓尿的味道。莫朗博士在他的書上注記下來，結果當他寫到一半時，手電筒掉到地上熄滅了;畏怯在撞到下面的石頭時，弄出很大的聲音。
He is standing in the dark. The loud noise wakes the bats and they attack Dr. Moron. He runs out of the cave screaming. He doesn't stop running until he gets back to his lab. His experiment had failed.
他站在黑暗之上，剛才那陣大的聲音把蝙蝠給吵醒了，使得蝙蝠開始攻擊莫朗博士。他尖叫著跑出了洞穴，一直跑回實驗室。他這回的實驗算是失敗了。
