釘子還是蒼蠅
One day an old gentleman whose eyesight was failingcame to stay in a hotel room with a bottle of wine ineach hand. On the wall there was a fly which he tookfor a nail. So the moment he hung them on it, thebottles fell broken and the wine spilt all over thefloor. When a waitress discoverd what had happened,she showed deep sympathy for him and decided todo him a favor.
一位老紳士視力日漸衰退。一天,他雙手各提著一瓶酒,住進(jìn)了一家旅館的客房。他把墻上的一只蒼蠅當(dāng)成了一顆釘子。他把兩個(gè)瓶子往釘子上一掛,結(jié)果瓶子掉下來(lái)摔個(gè)粉碎,酒灑了一地。一個(gè)女服務(wù)生發(fā)現(xiàn)以后,對(duì)他深表同情,于是決定幫他個(gè)忙。
So the next morning when he was out taking a walk in the roof garden, she hammered a nailexactly where the fly had stayed.
于是,第二天早上趁紳士到樓頂花園散步時(shí),她用錘子把一枚釘子釘在了蒼蠅趴過(guò)的地方。
Now the old man entered his room. The smell of the spilt wine reminded him of the accident.When he looked up at the wall, he found the fly was there again! He walked to it carefully andslapped it with all his strength. On hearing a loud cry, the kind-hearted waitress rushed in. Toher great surprise, the poor old man was there sitting on the floor, his teeth clenched and hisright hand bleeding!
這時(shí),老人回到了房里。灑出的酒的味道讓他想起了發(fā)生的那件事。他抬頭往墻上一看,蒼蠅又趴在了那兒!他小心翼翼地走過(guò)去,用盡全力拍了一巴掌。好心的女服務(wù)生聽(tīng)到一聲大叫,便沖進(jìn)房來(lái)。她大吃一驚,只見(jiàn)那可憐的老頭正坐在地板上,緊咬牙關(guān),右手血流不止!
