Company Information

Rita： Well, I've looked over your resume, Mr. Peepers.

Ted： Please, call me Ted.

Rita： Well, Ted, this is a very impressive resume. Now I would like to tell you something about our company. Our company has a good reputation.

Ted： Could you tell me details about the organization? For example, how many your workforces and departments are there?

Rita： Well, in total we have around 150 employees based in branch office in Hong Kong with another 400 in our head office in New York. The news desk staff in Hong Kong comprises around 80 staff. It's about 10 departments in branch office, such as Business Office, International Department, and Advertising Department and so on.

Ted： I see. And how about the working hours?

Rita： Well, as you know, in journalism work hours are not exactly nine to five. You could be on call at any time.

Ted： Well, I am used to that, Miss Parsons, so that's not really a shock for me.

Rita： Good, as long as you understand that.

芮塔： 好，特德，你的履歷表給人印象深刻。我跟你介紹一下公司我們企業(yè)有很好的名聲。

特德： 你能告訴一些關(guān)于公司的細(xì)節(jié)嗎？比如說，你們那兒有多少員工，有多少部門？

芮塔： 在香港分公司我們大概有150名員工，紐約總部有400名員工，香港新聞部大概有80名職員。而這里有大概10個(gè)左右部門，像是營(yíng)業(yè)部，國(guó)際部，廣告部等等。

特德： 我明白了，工作時(shí)間呢？

芮塔： 正如你所知道的，新聞業(yè)的工作時(shí)間不是按時(shí)的朝九晚五，任何時(shí)候都是隨時(shí)待命的。

特德： 帕森斯小姐，我已經(jīng)習(xí)慣于那樣工作了，所以那對(duì)我來說并不奇怪。

芮塔： 好的，還好你很理解。
