　　As the man tried to swing the speedboat round, the steering wheel came away in his hands. He waved desperately to his companion, who had been water skiing for the last fifteen minutes. 　　hardly......when的用法

　　hardly...when在句首時(shí)為固定的倒裝結(jié)構(gòu)，表示一件事緊接著另一件事發(fā)生，在漢語(yǔ)中譯為“一。。。就。。。”。

　　注意其事態(tài)上主句一般用過(guò)去完成時(shí)，從句用過(guò)去時(shí)。有時(shí)主句也可用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)，從句用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)。
