　　The Scandinavian countries are much admiredall over the world for their enlightened socialpolicies. Sweden has evolved an excellentsystem for protecting the individual citizenfrom high-handed or incompetent publicofficers. The system has worked so well, that ithas been adopted in other countries too.

　　1.The Scandinavian countries are much admired all over the world for theirenlightened social policies.

　　斯堪的納維亞半島各國(guó)實(shí)行開(kāi)明的社會(huì)政策，受到全世界的推崇。

　　語(yǔ)言點(diǎn):be admired不要譯為“被喜歡”或者“被崇拜”，正確的譯法應(yīng)該是“受到推崇。”

　　2.Sweden has evolved an excellent system for protecting the individual citizen fromhigh-handed or incompetent public officers.

　　在瑞典，已逐漸形成了一種完善的制度以保護(hù)每個(gè)公民不受專(zhuān)橫的和不稱(chēng)職的政府官員的欺壓。

　　語(yǔ)言點(diǎn):protect from的意思是“保護(hù)…不受…”。

　　3.The system has worked so well, that it has been adopted in other countries too.

　　由于這種制度行之有效，已被其他國(guó)家采納。

　　語(yǔ)言點(diǎn)1:句子結(jié)構(gòu)分析:so…that…引導(dǎo)結(jié)果狀語(yǔ)從句。
