讓我們開(kāi)始吧。

get the ball rolling字面意思是“讓球滾動(dòng)”，這個(gè)詞組源自足球慣例：由一位球員開(kāi)球，把球傳給隊(duì)友，借此展開(kāi)一場(chǎng)比賽。所以這個(gè)詞組后來(lái)就引申為：“開(kāi)始某談話(huà)或活動(dòng)”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"Let's get the ball rolling."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Let's begin."、"Let's get started."。
