請(qǐng)保持沉默。

bite your tongue直譯過(guò)來(lái)就是：“咬住你自己的舌頭”，這個(gè)短語(yǔ)的正確意思是：“保持沉默，忍住不說(shuō)”。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說(shuō)"Bite your tongue."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Keep silence."、"Don't speakout."、"Don't tattle about other people's business."。
