Stop beating around the bush!
不要再拐彎抹角了!
beat around the bush 字面意思是：“在灌木叢中四處敲打”，這個習(xí)語起源于古代有錢人家打獵時，都會雇用一個專門打草驚蛇的人，好讓真正的獵者能夠順利獵捕?，F(xiàn)在， 這個習(xí)語的正確意思是：“旁敲側(cè)擊，說話繞圈子”。因此，當(dāng)美國人說"Stop beating around the bush!"時，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"Please speak directly!"、"Don't equivocate!"、"Keep straightforward!"。
