I pulled an all-nighter last night.
昨晚我熬了一整夜。
pull an all-nighter 的意思是：“通宵熬夜，開夜車”。這個(gè)短語一般用在年輕人的口語中，經(jīng)常指考試之前熬通宵地死記硬背，也可指工作時(shí)為了某個(gè)大項(xiàng)目的會(huì)議或者展示通宵地工作。因此，當(dāng)美國(guó)人說"I pulled anall-nighter last night."時(shí)，他/她要表達(dá)的意思就是:"I stayed up all night."、"I burned the midnight oil last night."、"I worked until deep into the night yesterday."。
