compare到底加什么？

通常情況下，to和with都是正確的，但是究竟使用哪個(gè)介詞要根據(jù)含義和語(yǔ)法來(lái)決定。此外，當(dāng)必須在to和with中做出選擇時(shí)，美式英語(yǔ)中常用to，但在英式英語(yǔ)中這兩種不同的結(jié)構(gòu)均可使用。
compare to跟compare with的區(qū)別又在哪里呢？
Compare to可以廣義地定義為“估計(jì)事物之間的相似性或者是差異”。
例句：
Individual schools compared their facilities with those of others in the area.
私立學(xué)校將其設(shè)施與該地區(qū)其他學(xué)校的設(shè)施進(jìn)行比較。
It is difficult to compare our results to studies conducted in the United States.
很難將我們的研究成果與在美國(guó)進(jìn)行的研究成果相比較。

在這種意義上，使用哪個(gè)介詞都可以。然而，當(dāng)compare被用來(lái)表示一件事物與另一件事相似，或者在兩件不同事情之間進(jìn)行類比時(shí)，必須使用to。
